Art Happenings in November, 2026
Hello, friends,
I hope this autumn is finding you well. We have amazing golden colored ginko trees on my university campus. It feels almost magical to walk through them when the sun is shining through them.
It can certainly be inspiring. One of my friends visited Montana recently and shared a reference photo with for us to paint from. So you're the first ones who get to see the finished piece in watercolor/gouache! The colors were amazing with golds and reds in the foreground and far away grey/blue mountains. Just lovely!

Since moving to California, we still get to see some color changes in the trees, but around here there are more palm trees and Coastal Live Oaks that are evergreen so those chances are few and far between.
If you're in the Long Beach area, think about stopping by the first Friday event in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood. I'll be showing some of my smaller pieces of artwork at the Expo Arts building on Atlantic Avenue (between 6:30-9:00).
And in Palm Springs, the Stewart Galleries https://www.stewartgalleries.com/ is showing three paintings of mine -- Pink Elephant, Mountain View Hotel, and Top of the World Park. In general, Stewart Galleries is an amazing place with a variety of furnishings and art.
Take care and keep in touch!
